About Justine Pilates
Your Body, the Way You Want It
Pilates is a mind body system used by both health professionals and specialist exercise professionals to strengthen the body and improve posture, co-ordination and flexibility. I teach Body Control Pilates both on the mat and private sessions as a functional exercise system to aid you in your daily life while giving a taller, leaner physical appearance through improved posture. The emphasis on precise movement and good technique helps to develop mental focus, and offers an effective method of relaxation.
Pilates is safe and effective for enhancing general health and fitness at any age. It can be adapted to accommodate a range of injuries and help to improve sports performance. Pilates does not replace treatment from a health professional. If you need assessment or rehabilitation for any musculoskeletal conditions, I recommend that you visit a physiotherapist or chiropractor first .
My Classes
It is advisable if you have never done Pilates before to attend a workshop for beginners. This will give you the basics of the breathing, alignment and some exercises to get you started . It will give you an insight into Pilates and it will determine if you wish to continue with Pilates classes. You can book a workshop at a time to suit you and you can bring along any friends who may want to join or I can organise for you to join a workshop with a time and date that suits. Workshops are one hour and you need to wear comfortable clothing with socks or bare feet.
